Service Line Administrative Director, Pediatric Digestive Health

The Pediatric Digestive Health Service Line Administrative Director oversees the management of service line activities. Responsibilities encompass the overall management of the service line including business development, personnel management, financial management, and long-term strategic planning. They collaborate closely with partners across UCSF Health and the Benioff Children's Hospitals leadership to ensure the overall success of the service line.
The Service Line Director actively participates in developing the Digestive Health strategic plan and implements strategic initiatives focused on improving the profitability, market share and quality of care for the service line. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and managing all non-clinical aspects of the service line such as: growth of TQ programming, quality and safety improvement, optimizing operations and improving the cross-continuum patient experience. The Director will work closely with the Pediatric General Surgery Division Chief, Pediatric Gastroenterology Division Chief, Department Chairs, Medical Directors and Senior leadership at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals to implement all service related goals.
The Pediatric Digestive Health Service Line Director extends their leadership and oversight to encompass local and regional outreach efforts collaborating with Digestive Health Faculty Directors, Medical Directors, and Clinical leadership. They will develop comprehensive strategic plans, establish priorities, and articulate a shared vision for Pediatric Digestive Health. The director is accountable for the execution of short and long term goals with appropriate stakeholders at all levels throughout the organization.
The Service Line Director will also actively promote optimal patient outcomes through effective leadership and partnership with physician and nursing leaders.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
