Job Overview:
The Senior Corporate Healthcare Regulatory Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in providing legal guidance and support to clients in navigating complex healthcare regulatory landscapes. This position requires a deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties:
Provide expert legal advice and counsel on healthcare regulatory compliance, including but not limited to Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare conditions of participation, and state-specific regulations.
Conduct thorough research and analysis of healthcare laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks for clients.
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs tailored to healthcare organizations' needs.
Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to healthcare regulatory matters.
Communicate directly with clients to provide updates, recommendations, and strategic guidance on regulatory issues.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other professionals within the firm to address client needs and deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
Stay abreast of changes and developments in healthcare laws and regulations, providing insights and guidance to clients accordingly.
Requirements:
5-7 years of demonstrated experience focusing on regulatory matters in the healthcare sector.
Admission to the Bar in the state.
Outstanding academic credentials from an accredited law school.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the Bar in the state.
Skills:
Proficiency in key healthcare regulatory requirements, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Medicare conditions of participation.
Experience or familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare privacy, data breach regulations, Knox-Keene, digital health, telehealth, healthcare technology transactions, ACOs (Accountable Care Organizations), and/or Medicare Direct Contracting Enterprise (DCD) program, is highly desirable.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
Strong research and analytical skills, coupled with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to take ownership of projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively as part of a team and establish rapport with clients.
