Descriptions
A detail-oriented, analytical troubleshooter with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in similar positions within a Microsoft on-premise and cloud architecture. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for client's Infrastructure & Network needs as well as being responsible for implementing and managing all Infrastructure and Security services within our onsite NOC. As a lead in our Infrastructure and Security teams you will design, build, lead teams, and maintain critical solutions and technologies through inception, design, implementation, and launch, working closely with peers in Software Engineering, Security, Compliance, Service Desk, and key business leaders across the Organization.
Primary Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting Nutanix AHV & VMware virtualization platforms in a highly secure, Nutanix, Cisco, Fortinet, environment
Leads projects & teams, troubleshooting & resolving complex technical issues as a technical hands-on Engineer
Participates in cross-functional projects, planning and architecture discussions and decisions as infrastructure & security subject matter expert & project/team leader
Documentation of policies, processes, procedures, and all key Infrastructure
Lifecycle management and capacity planning for virtualization platforms
Respond to automated notifications of problem events and resolution of those issues
Managing and configuring servers, firewalls, networks
Building, maintaining, and testing a Disaster Recovery (DR) Infrastructure
Security, monitor and mitigate the latest threats and discuss the organization's security posture in detail with customers, partners, and relevant third parties
Participates in and supports PCI's yearly Security Audits and Certification process working hand in hand with the Security Team as the hands on expert and security project resource
Keep current on new technologies and training
Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation
Requirements
8+ years of Infrastructure and Network experience, 4-6 at a senior level
4+ years Nutanix AHV administration/engineering experience in an enterprise environment, *required*
4+ years Fortinet Firewalls experience in a medium to large enterprise environment, *required*
Expert level proficiency with Nutanix & AHV, *required*
Team leadership skills leading both projects, and teams/people
Must be a customer service oriented highly productive individual who can work alone and in group settings with internal customers, business managers, consultants and other IT staff
Proficiency with VMware software suite (ESXi, vCenter, vRA, vRO, vROps, vRLI, SRM, etc.)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, oral, and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, team, project management skills
Experience managing and configuring servers, firewalls, networks, security software, etc.
M365/O365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Core Architecture, SQL, Operating Systems, MDM, plus a special focus on Microsoft Security across the board
Working experience in managing a medium-sized infrastructure with +400 endpoints and +200 VM on premises or cloud, 50+ Databases and real-time systems in a multi-tenant environment
Ability to work under pressure, reprioritize, and adjust to rapid changes in direction and deadlines while balancing multiple high priority projects with minimal supervision
Ensure efficient maintenance of corporate LANs, WANs, and wireless networks including routers, switches, VoIP, power systems, firewalls, and other hardware.
Experience with other security technologies, such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security.
Experience building a Disaster Recovery (DR) Infrastructure
Database and VM High Availability: SQL Always-On DB cluster, load balancers - design, clustering implementation, maintenance
LAN/WAN, WIFI, Firewalls, Fortinet, and Cisco
Disaster Recovery Technology: Microsoft Recovery Services, SQL backup/restore, RTO, RPO, Veeam, Object First, or other similar services
Must have knowledge of ACLs, EtherChannels, IPSEC, QoS, spanning tree, VLANs, VPVTP, CIDR, VOIP, and NAT.
Working knowledge of various security platforms such as QRadar, AlienVault, Darktrace, etc.
Understanding of the NIST Framework in a working environment
Top-level understanding of network segmentation – VLAN, user isolation, DMZ, RBAC, etc.
One networking certification, CCNP Cisco Certified Network Professional
Domain/AD: Active Directory, DNS, AZURE AD

Preferred
Highly Preferred: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Data Encryption at rest and in motion, FIPS-Level 3, Thales HSM
Microsoft Azure: expertise, design, implementation, security, licensing is a plus
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology or business information systems
