Responsibilities:
Scope Assessment : Review proposal specifications, drawings, and actively participate in pre-bid meetings to delineate the scope of work and requisite estimate contents.
Data Integration : Incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports into unit and person-hour figures.
Risk Analysis : Provide technical insights on project and contract risks to the lead estimator for final bid price approval. Review final estimates to ensure alignment with overall project schedule and cost goals.
Prepare Discipline Estimates: Calculate comprehensive takeoffs of the scope of work and determine material quantity requirements based on engineering drawing dimensions.
Client Collaboration : Consult with clients, vendors, and relevant stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates, resolving any arising issues efficiently.
Qualifications:
Educational Background : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
Industry Expertise : Possess 5+ years experience in the construction industry, with a focus on estimating or cost control.
Specialized Knowledge : Demonstrated expertise in alternative construction delivery methods.
Software Proficiency : Advanced proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software.
Communication Skills : Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for clear and effective support, research, recommendations, and pricing.
Technical Writing : Display robust technical writing skills.
Time Management : Demonstrate exceptional time management and prioritization skills to meet tight turnaround and bid deadlines.
Leadership Abilities : Possess the ability to lead pursuit and estimating activities on large or complex projects.
