This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Shift Availables: 2nd
Compensation: $27.60 /hr.
Accountabilities:
* Perform assigned lead activities.
* Operate equipment and technology tools throughout the production facility, backfilling prior areas as needed, utilizing a broad understanding of varied and multi-dimensional processes to perform required duties.
* Support others in learning operating procedures, provide input to peers and recommend changes to ensure clarity and effectiveness of guidance, including procedure documentation.
* Perform maintenance and lead troubleshooting efforts throughout the facility, making adjustments or instructing others necessary.
* Ensure recording of production and inventory activities by the team is entered into computerized systems.
* Operate mobile powered equipment (i.e forklift, skid loader, sit down floor sweeper, front end loader).
* Understand and ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures, maintain a safe and clean work environment and control work pace and progress on assigned equipment and processes, requiring awareness of links with other process areas.
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
* Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
* Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
* Must have a valid Driver's License
* High School Diploma/GED or a minimum of two years relevant work experience
* Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice
* Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
* Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
* Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
* Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment PPE
* Advanced computer skills (Excel, Microsoft office)
Qualifications:
* Experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment (ex., packaging machinery, etc.)
* Minimum 2 years of experience in production related work
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner
* Actively demonstrate Safety Leadership
* Front end loader experience
* Forklift Certified
