Position Summary
The Vice President Business Applications Support is a senior member of the RP Information Technology leadership team. The incumbent will be responsible for managing RoundPoint’s Enterprise core application platforms and multiple other business applications. The successful candidate will have experience working with senior management to collaborate on business objectives and solutions. The Vice President of Business Applications Support will provide vision and leadership to a team of employees, supported as necessary by contractors and vendor professional services teams. He/she is an advocate for enterprise application delivery, support, and configuration requirements. He/she must have strong leadership skills to build and manage an effective Business Applications team to acquire, develop, integrate, and support systems for the business. This position will be a key business partner to functions across the organization. The position will lead the development of a strategic vision of our enterprise application environment. The role will be responsible for supporting business application users and working with remote support teams.
The complexity of this position requires a leadership approach that is engaging, imaginative, and collaborative, with a sophisticated ability to develop scalable, supportable, maintainable, robust, and high-performing solutions that meet our clients’ requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide strategic global leadership across the business application function
Partner with senior leadership and their direct teams to create a robust Business Application roadmap. Ensure this roadmap is well understood throughout the business functions and meet emerging technical requirements
Oversee the success of Application Development projects in alignment with Enterprise portfolio and integrated with RoundPoint’s short term and long term goals.
Work closely with other teams to understand current and future requirements; suggest solutions and alternatives - Transform business processes through technology
Bring innovative, external best practice ideas to all areas of RoundPoint’s business
Organize and lead a highly technical team for scale and growth
Specify implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and reliability of applications and software
Foster a culture of trusted partnership, service and continuous improvement
Establish and meet SLAs to support reliable and efficient daily operating capabilities
Managing large capital and operating budgets
Ensure Application Development initiatives and projects are well managed and deliver on expectations - functionality, timeliness, and cost
Cultivate a deep breadth of team leadership and technical talent to deliver results and support future growth
Lead and coach their team to their full potential and develop their careers
Maintain proper documentation for developed software environment for supportability
Leverage development tools to incorporate best practices of development and unit testing
Create technical release notes and deployment guides to move completed code into production by the production support team
Provide technical insight to project managers and other programmers working on the development project teams
Maintain and recommend methods for secure coding practices and audit remediation

Qualifications
Has successfully led development and delivery of multiple complex business technology solutions into production that have achieved or surpassed business goals.
Experience developing and supporting mission critical applications optimized to run in the cloud or virtualized environments.
Deep knowledge of system architecture, technical design, and system and software development technology.
Expertise with managing application development at scale, employing SDLC methodologies including Agile and Scrum.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, applied math; advanced degree preferred
15 years of senior leadership experience, preferable working with technologies within the mortgage industry, however solid experience in today’s top software solutions
A minimum of 10 years working in the finance industry.
