Build applications that maintain a high bar of quality and take proactive steps to protect against them through a variety of testing techniques
Improve the quality of the project, both via code contributions as well as long-term advocacy for large scale changes
Deliver customer value through rapid prototyping and date-driven decision making
Design and implement multiple ELT data pipelines using Airflow, Kubernetes, Python, DBT and Snowflake.
Deliver data to analysts for dashboards visualizing data in Looker
Support stakeholders from Client Strategy, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Designers, and the leadership team
Make proposals and initiatives to improve the team’s development process
Work with teams across the company to define BI and analytics requirements
Work alongside data engineers to develop data models to feed dashboards for teams across the work organization and client-facing analytics and to model data and build scalable data pipelines for BI
Participate in on-call rotation to respond to incidents and issues during non-business hours
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or related field plus 2 years of professional experience as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation/position/job title involving data engineering.
Must also have experience with the following special skills: 2 years of professional experience performing data engineering including designing, developing, and maintaining ETL and ELT pipelines at scale and automating ingestion at scale from multiple data sources
2 years of professional experience executing programming languages including Python or SQL
2 years of professional experience building distributed systems at scale utilizing continuous deployment and test automation
2 years of professional experience working on AWS platforms
1 year of professional experience utilizing back-end development technologies, including Microsoft, SQL, Server and Scala
1 year of professional experience designing and implementing multiple ELT data pipelines using Clover ETL, Spark, and AWS Glue
