Overview
LMI is seeking a Strategic Communications Officer to support a federal government customer in Northern Virginia. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on advising senior leaders on communication strategies and delivering targeted, effective messages. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to support a national security mission. This position is full-time and based in Herndon, Virginia.

Responsibilities
Develop and Implement a Marketing, Communications, and Engagement Plan
Engage and enlist a diverse set of stakeholders and workforce to actively support the strategy of the client and fully understand their role in making it happen.
Translate technical information into a clear, readable documents and presentations to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
Lead the development and production of reports, articles, presentations, scripts, talking points, testimony, web content, new (social) media content, and press releases in a clear and concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
Plan and manage projects and events, as necessary.
Qualifications Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Bachelor's degree in communications, English or other related discipline
Understanding of communications principles, methods, practices, and techniques, including skill in presenting ideas in speech and in written form to inform and persuade audiences at all levels of the organization
Ability to design, develop, and deliver strategic communications through a variety of media
Strong organizational skills-someone with the ability to work with little direction on complex tasks and competing demands
Experience with event planning, scheduling and execution.
Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in multiple methods of visual communication
Enthusiastic and eager to learn and have an ability to work well within a team
Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
Experience developing and implementing strategic communications plans for complex federal organizations
