As a Principal Data Scientist I I – AI Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the AI strategy and driving the development of innovative AI solutions across our platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, architect, build and integrate advanced AI capabilities that enhance our AI product offerings and deliver exceptional value to our customers. What you will do :

AI Technology and Architecture Development: Define and drive the AI Technology and Architectural directions for Seismic, ensuring alignment with business goals and product roadmaps.

AI Use Case Development: Work hands-on with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to build AI & ML applications, assessing tradeoffs and evaluating options to deliver high quality and high value product solutions.

Integration: Lead the integration of AI capabilities across the Seismic platform, including data foundation, conversational intelligence, video analysis, content management and discovery systems.

Technical Leadership: Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the data science and engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Stay abreast of the latest trends and techniques in AI and ML, conducting research and experimentation to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Product Innovation: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven product enhancements and collaborate on AI product roadmap development.

Performance Optimization: Define and analyze key metrics to measure the success of AI initiatives, ensuring high-quality, high-performance, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Who you are :

Experience: 15+ years of experience (or 12+ years of experience with advanced degrees) in data science and AI, with a proven track record of building AI software products, and leading technical efforts.

Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in AI & ML model and use case development, including hands-on experience with Python or related languages for data analytics, GenAI and machine learning.

SaaS Knowledge: Extensive experience in SaaS application development and cloud technologies, with a deep understanding of modern machine learning technologies and operational infrastructure. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure. Experience with kubernete-based microservice architecture.

Product Development: Experience in collaborating with product management and design, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive successful delivery.

Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.

Strategic Mindset: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to develop a strong point of view and drive vision forward.

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Fast-paced Environment: Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven company.

We are committed to fair and equitable compensation  practices.

Seismic’s annual base salary range for this position will vary based  on applicant’s location, experience, job level, skills, and  abilities as well as internal equity and alignment with market  data.  The range listed below is the minimum to the maximum  of our target hiring range.

This position is also eligible to participate in Seismic’s  incentive plans in addition to base salary. The actual  incentive amount will vary and will be subject to the terms  and conditions set in the applicable incentive plan.

Seismic’s salary range for this position

$158,100 — $272,700 USD
