Web application developer needed to develop a collaborative on-line editing application to assist scholars in researching, editing and publishing articles. Under the direction of the director of software development, the developer will be responsible for participating in the design of the application, implementing selected modules, testing the software and writing and maintaining documentation. The application is released under an open source license. Full time position (baseline of 40h/week); one year contract, with possibility of renewal. Telecommuting ok.
Requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
(Desirable, but not required.) Experience with Twitter Bootstrap, JQuery, RequireJS, Django, XSLT, TEI, SQL, Unicode, processing multilingual text, and managing a LEMP (Linux, nginx, MySQL, PHP) web server.
