Communications Associate

San Jose, CA, United States

At Antora, we’re on a mission to stop climate change. And we can’t do that unless we tackle the 30% of global emissions that come from industry.

Antora is unlocking zero-emissions industrial energy, cheaper than fossil fuels. Antora’s thermal batteries store energy from renewables as heat for days on end, delivering that stored energy as heat and power at the scale and temperatures that large industrial operations demand. We’re on a path to eliminate gigatons of emissions while strengthening domestic manufacturing, curbing industrial air pollution, and enhancing America’s clean energy leadership.

We are growing our company with people who put team and mission first, value connection through laughter and joy, and build with humility and openness. We are committed to continue building a diverse, passionate, and creative team dedicated to a future where every industrial facility, everywhere on earth, is powered by abundant, low-cost, zero-emissions energy.

Position Summary

As a key member of the communications team, you will develop and execute content and communications initiatives that elevate Antora’s brand, advance Antora’s commercial objectives, and accelerate industrial decarbonization. Armed with a passion for climate storytelling, you will help introduce a new technology—and the people behind it—to a variety of stakeholders from customers to talent, helping usher in a clean energy future. In addition, you will play a key role in writing materials to secure federal and state funding opportunities for Antora. Reporting to the Senior Lead, Communications and Strategic Initiatives, this is an execution-oriented role that will span technical communications, people-focused storytelling, and strategic messaging.

Drive content development and strategy to tell Antora’s story to customers, investors, talent, and policymakers, including writing blog posts, whitepapers, newsletters, and hiring communications

Draft federal and state grant applications to help secure funding for projects that accelerate Antora’s mission

Craft briefing materials to prepare Antora leadership and team members for external opportunities

Write and develop social media content for Antora and Antora’s executives

Create and support the development of multimedia content such as videos and infographics

Provide support as needed on internal and external events, including conferences, site tours, and VIP visits

Project-manage communications and marketing priorities to ensure that the team operates efficiently and effectively

Key Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

2-4 years of experience in communications, content marketing, grant writing, or a related role

Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communications skills, including communicating at different levels of depth (more in-depth for industry audiences; simplified for lay audiences)

Execution-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and be flexible in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and collaborative environment

Grant writing experience preferred

Experience with multimedia assets and video is a plus

A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills

Deep interest, passion, and commitment to addressing climate change

Keen eye for detail, ensuring all content is strategic, on-brand, and valuable to our audiences

Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
