Financial Policies and Procedures Oversight: Develop and uphold robust financial policies and procedures for the union, ensuring strict adherence by both staff and members to uphold financial governance standards.

Strategic Financial Guidance: Provide strategic financial guidance to the union's leadership team, offering insights and recommendations to the President, Treasurer, and Board of Directors.

Investment Portfolio Oversight: Manage the union's investments by monitoring performance and ensuring strict compliance with investment policies, maximizing returns while mitigating risks.

Collaboration with External Partners: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers, such as banks, insurance providers, and accounting firms, to ensure seamless meeting of the union's diverse financial needs.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Alternatively, significant and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Professional Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting, with a preference for experience within a union or complex non-profit organization.

Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, coupled with hands-on experience utilizing various financial software and systems.
