**Description**

We are currently seeking a talented individual for Transportation Design in our Denver (Centennial), Colorado office. This position will provide engineering expertise for state, county and city roads, ranging from local facilities to arterial and highway projects including: construction plans preparation, development of 3D models, engineering report preparation, interchange and intersection studies, and specification development. The candidate must be able to work effectively and communicate regularly with clients and project stakeholders. The candidate must possess a proven track record of successful transportation project development and design. This position also offers opportunities to participate in professional organizations.
**Essential duties include:**
* Roadway design and 3D modeling
* Preparation of detailed sequence of construction plans
* Preparing and checking design computations, design plans, and quantity estimates
* Use of computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
* Coordination with regulatory agencies, utility companies and sub-consultants to obtain information, guidance, and requirements
* Coordinating the design of projects with a team of engineers and designers
* Assisting in the development of project scopes, work procedures/sequences, design schedules, and budgets/level of effort
* Managing project budgets
* Managing project schedules
* Project management experience and skills are advantageous to the candidate
* Attends onsite and offsite client meetings
* Adhere to company standards for quality assurance and quality control as defined in the quality manual
**Background requirements include:**
* Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
* Must possess 5 to 10 years of relevant transportation engineering work experience designing roadway projects for transportation clients (CDOT and/or local municipalities)
* Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license
* Proficient with Bentley Microstation SS-10 and Open Roads Designer
* Strong oral communication and technical writing skills
**Salary Range:** Base Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000
*In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.*
