Director of Revenue Management

Sightline Hospitality is seeking a Director of Revenue Management for a hotel in Inglewood. This position will be responsible for maximizing overall revenue for the hotel through development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand forecasts, current trends and historical data as well as being responsible for determining the optimal mix of business and managing the distribution strategies on all channels to drive positive RevPAR change for the property and reach the desired targets established for the property.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES :
Drive Market Share and Revenue Performance through proper pricing and mix management
Develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segments and distribution channels
Provide guidance on corporate transient negotiated pricing as well as group pricing. Ensure Group Selective Sell Guidelines (MAR) are updated on a regular basis. Ensure effective pricing strategies are in place that reflects asset strength relative to the competition in the market
Effectively manage inventory and pricing strategy in all distribution channels. Focus on lowering distribution costs and driving room nights
Lead, train and improve the Front Desk employees, as well as, the call center to ensure best in class care for our prospective guests
Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance
Conduct regular price elasticity tests in various market conditions; Measure and share results
Compile weekly performance reports to analyze key drivers to market share performance and understand overall effectiveness of strategies
Responsible for effective Implementation and compliance with all ownership and Sightline Hospitality Revenue Management Standards
Complete understanding and effective execution of RM tools
Compliance to Standards for Rate Plans, Rate Categories, and Market Segment set up, et cetera
Ensure Best Rate Guarantee Compliance
Clearly communicate strategic vision and objectives on how to drive revenues and improve overall hotel positioning and performance
Provide regular updates on performance to include market share, market segment, channel metrics et cetera
Lead weekly Revenue Management Meeting with Corporate and Property Teams
Communicate effectively with the hotel’s leadership team the revenue management strategies and the expectations of our initiatives
Produce accurate forecasts on a weekly and monthly basis (frequency determined by ownership and Sightline Hospitality’s Finance Department)
Instill a revolving 12-month calendar forecast to ensure effective pricing and identification of extreme high and low demand dates in the future to apply specific strategies in advance.
Assist with the development of a Strategic Sales Plan with the Sales Team
Lead all pricing decisions for transient, group, and wholesale segments
Strategize with Sales Team to establish strategies to increase revenue of both rooms and catering
Contribute to the financial success of the hotel via participation in annual budgeting and sales and marketing plan process
Maintain historical statistical data from all distribution channels in all market segments
Continually monitor all pertinent travel related websites to ensure competitiveness in both availability and price
QUALIFICATIONS : Strong Analytical Skills
2 + years progressive hotel Revenue Management experience
Bachelor's degree preferred
In-depth understanding of tools- spreadsheets, statistical methods for analyzing data
Ability to identify relevant data points and to draw inferences with reference to impact performance
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of competitive market strongly preferred
Ability to utilize Oracle’s Opera, Sabre’s SynXis, Cendyn’s Rainmaker and Amadeus’ Delphi
Proficient in Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office, with a strength in Excel
Strong command of the written and verbal communication
