Position Overview: As the Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in leading our nursing team to deliver high-quality care to our residents. We are seeking a strong leader who is passionate about teaching and mentoring staff, while also being eager to expand our clinical capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of Alzheimer's and dementia care, and a commitment to promoting the well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards of care.
Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to enhance resident care and safety.
Collaborate with other department heads to coordinate care plans and services for residents.
Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and well-being, adjusting care plans as needed.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and employee satisfaction.
Oversee staff training and development initiatives, including educational programs on Alzheimer's and dementia care.
Stay updated on advancements in nursing practices and clinical research relevant to Alzheimer's and dementia care.
Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Alzheimer's and dementia care practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively mentor and coach staff members.
