Summary This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Jean Mayer Human Nutrition Research Center of Aging in Boston, MA. In this position, you will serve as a personal assistant to the Research Leader and other professional staff, coordinating a wide variety of administrative and clerical tasks essential to the program administration of the Management Unit. Responsibilities Schedules conferences and meetings, including arranging logistics, preparing agendas, and notifying participants. Participates in program planning support work including research project coordination, travel documentation, budget coordination, purchasing and procurement of supplies and equipment, and human resources administration. Uses an electronic calendar, database and spreadsheet software to document employee leave schedules and transmit and receive documents and messages electronically. Establishes, maintains, and revises the office filing system. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time-in-grade restrictions apply for all candidates considered under merit promotion procedures and must be met by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
