This is a contract position with initial assignment duration of 3 - 6+ months , withthepossibility of extension and/or conversion to full time employment.
Position Summary
Data Analyst
Our client is in search of a Data Analyst to assist with data conversion. The Data Analyst will work within the Information Technology group. The Data Analyst will need to be able to work alone and alongside a team to convert data from a legacy ERP system to the new ERP. They must have had experience in data conversion, skilled in SQL and work well with subject matter experts to understand requirements. The candidate must be comfortable establishing data models and be able to create repeatable processes manipulating data.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning data reconciliation and conversion.
Experienced in doing ETL work between two ERP systems.
Ability to analyze data and clean data.
Data profiling of complex data sets
Identifying gaps and quality issues in data sets
Prepare and/or update operating procedures and other documentation as needed.
Establish quality targets and operational metrics for technical deliverables.
Problem-solving/decision-making as needed by the project.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field preferred or an equivalent of education and experience.
5+ years of related experience including working with databases and SQL.
Data Conversion Experience
Strong analytical skills
Self-starter/self-reliant
Demonstrated ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to function independently, as part of a team, with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
