Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE), the largest auxiliary organization at Stanford University,supportstheacademicmissionoftheUniversitybyprovidinghigh-qualityservicesto students and other members of the university community. The department has an annual operating budget of over $350M, operates 24/7/365, and oversees a $3B asset portfolio comprising a 7 million sq. ft. physical plant across the campus. In autumn quarter of the 2021- 22 academic year, R&DE will return to providing housing for over 13,000 students and dependents, serving meals at 17 dining halls, 12 retail locations, and operating athletic concessions and conference operations. Additionally, R&DE comprises 900 FTE staff in the following divisions: Student Housing Operations, Stanford Dining, Stanford Hospitality & Auxiliaries, Stanford Conferences, Maintenance Operations and Capital Projects, and a team of R&DE strategic business partners: Finance & Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Strategic Communications.

Thisroleiscurrentlydesignatedashybridandmayprovideincumbentswithflexibilityforpartialtelecommuting.

JOB PURPOSE:

Take projects from original concept through final implementation on contained risk assignments(projectshavemechanismsormanagerialcontrolstominimizerisk).Workis typically comprised of 50% time contribution towards project leadership and 50% as a technical contributor.

CORE DUTIES:

·Performthefullrangeofprojectmanagementcycle:initiating,planning,executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. Lead projects requiring functional integration. Complete sub-project and/or stand-alone elements (or a contained project such as construction project).

·Directdevelopmentofanactionplan,andestimaterequirementsforresources, including management, labor, materials, and time required to completeproject.

·Facilitatediscussionsandnegotiationstodriverecommendationconsensuswithin scope of responsibility.

·Develop and help execute comprehensive change management strategy and communicationplanrelativetoprojectscopeandstakeholdersonafocusedproject; actively manage resistance to change.

·These elements typically delineate the project management involved at this level: Charter-charterandscopinginvolvementorscopedefinition,identifyandshape scope; # of disciplines

/stakeholders to manage is contained to localized department or university constituents; risk- manage and report on risks associated with projects to upper management,risksharingismaintainedbetweenmanagementandprojectmanager; project complexity involves straight- forward technology applications to drive decisions; primary university relationship is at the individual faculty, department

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education&Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience in management of projectsofmoderatesize/complexitywithlimitedperformancerisk,includingprojectplanning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting, or combination of education and relevant experience.

The expected pay range for this position is $115K to $127K per annum(

$55.29-$61.06/ hour).
