Job Description

The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking an Information Technology Specialist. This is a permanent full-time, 12-month salaried position with full benefits available immediately.

Description: Under the direction and supervision of the Chief Information Officer, performs a variety of technical duties including being responsible for providing support to all of the district information technology (IT) systems as well as installs, updates and repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and providing technical advice and support to organization users. This position will also work directly with students to teach and instill different technology skills in students who are working with the Technology department.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years professional experience in supporting and managing technology systems.

Advanced training or experience in computer operating systems and software programs.

Excellent problem-solving, organization and time management skills.

Ability to work under pressure and multi task.

Knowledge of hardware technology and concepts.

Knowledge of District information security processes, systems, operations, policies and best practices

Project management skills, time management skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge of District processes, operations, and policies

Knowledge of State and Federal regulations, protocols and procedures

Compensation: Salary established consistent with experience and ability, and approved by the Board of School Directors.
