Position Summary:
The AV Project Manager is responsible for the successful coordination & completion of assigned Audiovisual projects. The position may require working with both AV Engineering, AV Sales and on-site construction PM to ensure project scope is clear, concise, understood and implemented. This position requires the ability to travel for long periods. This position is also required to closeout and commission smaller projects as directed by the Director, Audiovisual Operations.
Major Responsibilities:
Project Planning, Coordination & Management Works with Project Engineer to establish and understand overall scope of projects Project Planning, Coordination & Management

Develops work plan & schedule based on project parameters, project schedule, scope and client goals
Thoroughly reviews project site, plans and product specifications
Provides and/or reviews project/proposal labor estimates
Coordinates all documentation and materials necessary for installation
Attend internal and external project meetings as necessary
Acts as Field Engineer closing out project as needed
Schedules, and Manage onsite resources
Ensure project meets Red Thread current standards
Works with other trades to properly execute the project
Resolve onsite issues ASAP.
Project Administration Coordination of permits and COI as required
Maintain detailed project documentation throughout the life of the project Meeting notes, change orders, client requests
Provide timely formal written communication throughout the project to the internal and external project teams
Creates and maintains a project folder which includes, but not limited to: Project timeline, installation scope, meeting notes
Timely prepare and submit expense reports
Planning Site Visits
Project Implementation Surveys site to determine site readiness
Pre-installation coordination with AV Technician prior to installation
Receive and resolve all requests from the field during installation
Attend internal and external project meetings as necessary
Ensures field paperwork is completed and delivered in a timely manner
Make field adjustments to Crestron, AMX, or DSP as required
Resolve issues as they arise
Ability to work with other trades to achieve the deliver goal
Maintain Quality and Enforce Standards
General Responsibilities Comply with systems design and/or consultant specifications. Ability to read and understand CAD Diagrams
Completion of assigned tasks within timeframe allocated by supervisor
Maintenance of a clean and safe work environment
Adherence to the established Departmental Methodologies and Policies and Procedures
Protect the confidentiality of information, including Client list and interactions within areas of own position responsibilities
Promote a continuous quality improvement effort to enhance the services provided to clients and staff by demonstrating positive attitudes and actions through a display of courtesy, congeniality, cooperation, initiatives, sensitivity, and professionalism
Any other tasks deemed appropriate by supervisory staff
Position Qualifications A minimum of 4 to 6 years experience in the audio/visual field or a related field
A minimum of 2+ years Project Management or related experience
A minimum of 3+years as a Field Engineer or Designer
Ability to read and understand CAD drawings
Ability to analyze, plan, schedule and implement project installation
PMI or PMP Certification (Preferred)
ICIA CTS-I Designation (Required)
Extron AV Associate designation Preferred)
Basic Understanding of Network Topology
Understanding of DSP
Understanding of Crestron and AMX
Understanding of Basic Building Codes
Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
Strong Attention to Detail & Processes Experience with Windows OS and the Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency with Microsoft Project
Willingness to travel for long periods of time and on short notice
Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
