Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years' experience practicing personal injury in Texas and must be able to litigate a personal injury case from start to finish. Responsibilities
Work closely with our clients to understand the extent of their injuries, negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel, and represent our clients in court.
Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases.
Drafting and responding to discovery, drafting motions and motion responses, legal research, and legal writing.
Work with experts from various medical and other disciplines assist with report drafting, deposition preparation, etc.
Compensation
Base salary $90,000 - $130,000 and commensurate based on experience.
Attorneys with a portable case load already in place will receive preferential consideration.
Bar Dues and CLEs provided by the law firm, a commission on any case brought into our firm for any area of law that we handle (minus PIP), plus a small percentage of the overall fees generated by the Dallas office.
Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
3+ years of experience pre-suit and litigating personal injury on plaintiff side.
Experience drafting and responding to motions.
Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills. Great attorney work ethic.
