CONTRACTOR SERVICES DESCRIPTION
TRUCK DRIVER
The Contractor shall provide the following services to the below-listed companies in accordance with the Independent Contractor Agreement:

Priority Transportation Services, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company
The services which shall be provided by the Contractor are:
WORK SCHEDULE: The Contractor shall devote as much time as necessary to perform services. It is suggested that the services are rendered during the times and days requested by the Company. However, it is understood and agreed to by the parties that the Contractor may choose Contractor's own schedule.
REPORT SERVICE PROGRESS TO: Chief Operations Officer
CONTRACTORS WHO REPORT SERVICES TO YOU: all newly contracted service providers during the recruitment phase
CONTRACTOR VETTING REQUIREMENTS (items can be waived at discretion of the Company):
- Documentation of EIN/TIN from IRS,
- Professional liability insurance certificate of at least $50,000 combined limit adding the Companies as an additional insured,
- Proof of entity formation (LLC, Corporation, Sole Proprietor) with SDAT,
- Proof of entity good standing with SDAT,
- Valid CPR, First Aid, Certified Medication Technician with Board of Nursing,
- Automobile insurance,
- Valid commercial Class A or Class B drivers license,
- Meet the USDOT driver qualifications initially and on an ongoing basis,
- High School diploma or higher
- Maintain communication via email and phone, must have your own transportation, willing to travel to multiple locations daily, must be able to demonstrate proper documentation reporting as required.
- Must demonstrate ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: 1 00% of the time. There is no additional compensation for travel.
SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
* Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
* Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
* Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
* Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
* Input macros into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
* Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
* Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
* Collect and verify delivery instructions
* Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
* Proven work experience as a truck driver
* Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
* Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
* Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
* No recent moving or driving violations
* Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
* Valid truck driving license
Additional administrative duties
* Have knowledge of Policies and Procedures of the Company.
* Check emails and company group texts at least every 30 minutes while on duty (while not driving); respond accordingly.
* Maintain quality of service as directed by policies and procedures of Company
* Assist the supervisors with other services as requested / directed.
* Submit bi-weekly invoices for services rendered to the Company by 11:00 PM on the Sunday immediately before the Friday check run day.
+ Invoices for services rendered should be emailed to the CEO, COO, ALM, contract manager, pay coordinator and productivity analyst.
+ The Company will not pay for invoices which are:
- Not complete or detailed,
- Not in the format acceptable by the Company,
- Does not accurately reflect the work performed or services rendered,
- Services that the Company is unable to verify.
* Ensure the contract manager has valid unexpired contract vetting requirements on file with the Company at all times.
* Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (DOT) as directed by supervisor.
* Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement plans by completing periodic audits or other activities to ensure regulatory compliance and/or improve service delivery.
* Advise the supervisor on the development and implementation of protocols to better enhance the efficiency of day to day operations effecting change when approvals are made.
* Troubleshoot and abate any issues that could adversely affect the day-to-day operations.
* Report to the Supervisor daily and as requested. Report deviation of operational standards to CEO daily.
