JOB PURPOSE
The Digital and Visual Communications Specialist will support the Marketing and
Communications Team by generating visual content (photography, video and simple
graphics/print material) promoting, organizing, creating and editing compelling content for our
complex range of audiences, on all relevant platforms.
This position works closely and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders e.g. school leadership,
parents, fellow AIS employees, students, external suppliers and contacts.

Hours per week: 40 hours (Full-time)
Reports to: Creative Lead Marketing and Communications
Start Date: As soon as possible

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Capturing high quality photography and video content on a daily basis and as required -
both reportage/daily life in school and set piece events (such as head shots and
advertising shoots). Drone available for use with training.
Create and plan social media content each week for our digital channels, including
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter).
Assist digital marketing - increasing the impact of paid for and organic content, including
creating simple digital assets, Google Ads, listing sites, digital advertising, SEO and
developing this area.
Assist with supplier/vendor/publication liaison and in managing the advertising cycle.
Proactive in seeking out and recommending communications opportunities - in particular
supporting AIS Advancement and Admission campaigns
Proactive in seeking out and delivering content, engaging and connecting with the
school community to do so.
Producing internal reports from digital analytics and market trends
Contribute as required to written materials
Create visual content as required - including basic graphic design, creating slide decks,
simple display materials
Assist in the application of school-wide use of the AIS Brand guidelines
Participate in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining
personal networks and professional organizations
Assist with asset management and for Marketing and Communications team, including
Dropbox
Learning how to operate all external AIS communications platforms, including
emergency procedures
Be willing to occasionally work outside regular office hours for specified community
events and circumstances
QUALIFICATIONS 1-2 years of relevant digital and visual communication employment/experience or recent
college-level qualification in related subjects/or a professional-level personal interest in
the specified areas (with a body of work)
Experience in prioritizing multiple tasks, project organizations and pivoting when
necessary
Have or develop good understanding of schools and the ability to work with students
Competency and willingness to further develop in the following software applications: Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar non-linear
editing software
Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for photography editing and management
Knowledge of other applications in the Adobe suite is a plus
Dropbox and Google Drive management
Google Ads
Content management systems such as Veracross
SEO software
Experience or willingness to learn website editing and basic design skills (understanding
of HTML would be an asset.)
Ability to work closely and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders e.g. school
leadership, parents, faculty, staff, students, external suppliers and press contacts.
Appreciation of the school's diverse, inclusive international community as well as an
understanding of the dynamics of Atlanta, Georgia.
