Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Contract Subject Matter Expert to join their team. Our client, a nationally recognized R&D innovation company, seeks a Contract Subject Matter Expert to join our team in Reston, VA. You will provide expert guidance and leadership on government contracting, ensuring strategic objectives are met while balancing risk and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Manage complex cradle-to-grave government contracts and subcontracts.
Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including program management and contract POCs.
Support capture and proposal opportunities, analyze terms and conditions and negotiate agreements.
Monitor contract performance, manage changes, and prepare contracts for closeout.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet annual objectives and support customer deliverables.
Develop sound business cases and analyze data.
Mentor junior colleagues and share knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of government contracts experience (prime and subcontractor).
Proven ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and conflicts.
Experience with proposal/capture management, process improvement, and various contract types.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to lead and implement compliance plans.
Expertise in FAR/DFARS regulations and government acquisition frameworks.
Comfort interacting with executive leadership.
Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act requirements.
Experience with license agreements and intellectual property terms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to learn new tools and procedures.
Domestic travel and US security clearance required (potential for Top Secret).
