DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer – IT Middleware The selected candidate will leverage their skills to provide expertise in infrastructure provisioning and configuration and software deployment across the software development lifecycle. The candidate must have experience with Linux operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols/functions (e.g., HTTPS, TLS/X.509, SMTPS, DNS, LDAPS).

Skills and Experience:

Linux administration: operating system concepts, traditional UNIX facilities and shell tools, RHEL experience

Fundamental background with software design patterns and programming languages

Experience with automated provisioning and configuration tools like Ansible or similar technologies.

Experience with Drupal maintenance for internal/external sites.

Experience with JVM concepts, Java server maintenance via Ansible (Mule, Tomcat)

Experience with Apache maintenance (virtualhost configuration, familiarity with modules and directives)

Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins

Software development experience (i.e., Perl, Bash, C, C#, Java)

HTML5, CSS experience

Bash/shell script experience

API integration experience

Git experience

XML experience

RDBMS experience (i.e., PostgreSQL, MariaDB)

IT Security Concepts

IP Networking

RHEL patching & RPM packaging

Nessus scan vulnerability remediation

Excellent problem solving and analysis skills

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Self-starter that can work independently while possessing the communication skills to work effectively with software development teams and customers

Required Skills and Education:

5+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT related field.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
