Insurance Authorization Specialist (DME)
As an Insurance Authorization Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient care by obtaining necessary authorizations from insurance companies.
Your responsibilities will include:
+ Authorization Management:
+ Obtain prior authorizations for medical equipment and supplies.
+ Monitor and track the status of pending and approved authorizations.
+ Escalate any billing or coding issues related to authorization and coverage
+ Insurance Coordination:
+ Work closely with insurance plans to pre-authorize and re-authorize patient services.
+ Troubleshoot authorization-related issues in the Practice Management System.
+ Maintain contact management regarding the status of authorizations and any additional documentation needed
Qualifications:
+ Passion for patient care.
+ Knowledge of insurance processes.
+ Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
