JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disorders affecting circulation.
Monitoring blood flow.
Identifying blockages.
Finding blood clots, tumors, aneurysms and other blood vessel abnormalities.
Determining if angioplasty is a viable treatment option.
Assessing outcome of a bypass or graft of blood vessels.
COVID vaccination required.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of two years in vascular sonography
License/Registration/Certification Required - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible (required within 1 year of hire)
Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need
CPR (by the American Heart Association)
BLS, ACLS - American Heart Association
SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
