The Content Marketing Manager, PLG will be a key individual in Backlight’s Product-Led Growth (PLG) team. Through their efforts, Backlight can increase its market share and relevance to creatives all over the world. This valuable team member will be measured and rewarded on data analysis, traffic, conversion, and overall business line growth.

The Content Marketing Manager, PLG is a pivotal role to ensure market visibility and the attraction of potential self-serve customers across our portfolio of product lines. This role requires a keen understanding of the market, target personas and the challenges faced by the customers most likely to find value and grow by product adoption. Backlight’s suite of industry leading products are known the world over - and we want you to help spread the message!

The Content Marketing Manager, PLG will create and publish campaigns across video, social media and other digital channels to attract potential customers. The right candidate is creative, motivated and able to take a campaign from concept to live to help achieve business objectives.

What you'll be doing:

Working within the PLG Team at Backlight, the Content Marketing Manager, PLG will help:

Own website messaging and overall entrance journey

Manage our social media channels to ensure we are promoting our products and attracting customers who would find value in our products.

Create compelling messaging to target those prospects

Manage marketing blogs and authors

Launch top-of-funnel A/B experiments within our PLG team to learn and understand what messaging and tactics work - and how we can learn from those that don’t.

Generate landing pages based on proven ecommerce and conversion layouts to convert site visitors

Monitor the health of incoming traffic to our product websites

Produce engaging videos and creative campaigns to stand out from our competitors

Respond and engage with customers on social channels

Lead top of funnel campaign efforts and organization in partnership with Marketing

Who you are:

You have a story to tell - you’ve either created your own video content or have worked on creative projects.

Someone who loves to create content for customers and experiment with messaging and creative concepts.

You’re comfortable creating videos - and the landing pages they’ll live on

Self-starter with the ability to build rapport cross-functionally.

Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Someone who has a positive attitude, doesn't mind asking for help - and can keep projects moving - all while keeping our customers as the focus.
