What we're looking for

You have a strong background in electrical engineering, are organized and flexible, excited about the Internet of Things, and can see both the big picture and the tiniest of details simultaneously. You are creative and self motivated, and able to work with minimal instruction.

Engineers on our IoT team have a lot of autonomy and creative influence over the products we develop. You will be responsible for the direction and implementation of embedded products from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a small team of engineers to develop IoT solutions from the ground up for medical devices. This includes but is not limited to: prototyping, board design and validation, researching ICs and other components, creating libraries, writing application firmware drivers and working with manufacturers and customers.

• You would be expected to go through the full production process. This includes working with design partners to design the PCB to prototype validation and writing the firmware to working with manufacturers and customers.

• Take ownership of a project. You are expected to work with minimal check-in, effectively communicate requirements, specifications, and design considerations with external clients and other team members.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in related STEM field (Computer/Electrical Engineering)

• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering

• Strong Electrical Background

• Experience with PCB and circuit design

• Familiar with use of multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, breadboarding, etc.

• Familiarity with C/C++ programming

• Embedded communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, RS-232/RS-422, etc.

• You are able to work full-time in Charlotte, NC

Preferred Qualifications

• MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering

• Strong Electrical Debugging Skills

• Familiar with schematics and EDA Software such as KiCad, Eagle, Altium, etc

• Past experience on software development teams

• Embedded platform experience, preferably ARM based, i.e. STM32, nRF52, Arduino, etc.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub or a comparable VCS
