Overview
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of problem behaviors.
- Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based ABA techniques.
- Implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity, ensuring consistency and adherence to treatment protocols.
- Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to clients, targeting skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress, making data-driven decisions to modify treatment strategies as needed.
- Train behavior technicians and behavior therapists in implementing ABA techniques and protocols effectively.
-Conduct regular meetings with clients' families to review progress, provide education on ABA principles, and offer support and guidance.
-Maintain accurate and organized clinical documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and behavior data sheets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, behavior analysis, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year (2000 hours) of experience working in ABA therapy with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of behavior analysis principles, including behavior modification techniques, reinforcement strategies, and functional assessment methods.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and team members.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis, with the ability to use technology-based data collection systems.
- Driver’s license for at least 3 years, insurance on vehicle and willingness to travel to clients' homes, schools, or other community settings as needed.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate clients' schedules.
