Job Description
The Event Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of strategic tradeshows across AeroVironment. This position collaborates with business development and product lines to ensure the tradeshows align with corporate strategic objectives. The Event Marketing Manager will coordinate all logistics, manage assigned budgets, oversee vendors, and serve as the on-site marketing lead at assigned shows. The successful candidate will have event management experience (preferably in the defense industry), strong collaboration and leadership skills, and project management proficiency.
Position Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of tradeshows in partnership with business development lead
Collaborate with the marketing team on the development of graphics and other materials required for tradeshows
Continuously look for ways to drive efficiencies in the tradeshow process while maintaining high quality and brand strength
Project manage all aspects of show to deliver on time and within budgeted tradeshow activities, including booth design, product displays, advertising, and sponsorships
Prepare and deliver post-show results that report on show goals and objectives in a timely manner
Ability to travel up to 40% annually, both domestic and international
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Communications or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Minimum 3-5 years directly related experience
Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects successfully and efficiently
Willingness to travel up to 40%
Preferred Additional Skills
Tradeshow experience within the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Confident and professional presentation skills, communicator over the phone, in person, and digitally
Strong project management experience
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a collaborative team environment
Collaborative team player with a high degree of initiative, drive, accountability, judgment, flexibility, and customer service
Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
The Salary Range For This Role Is
$52,333 - $78,499
AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
