Lead and support organizational compliance with internal, customer and industry quality standards and requirements, including but not limited to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. Responsible for identifying and driving key activities necessary to implement and continuously improve the global Allison Quality Management System in support of the Allison Brand Promise.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead ATI Quality Management System ISO/IATF 16949 certification activities in Indianapolis:

+ Orchestrate and prepare organization for 3rd party certification audits

+ Establish and communicate annual internal audit plan, acting as lead auditor to carryout internal quality audits, issue audit reports and direct resolution of non-conformities

+ Drive activities needed to address non-conformities in order to close audits per timeline, lending support and direction as well as verifying effectiveness of corrective actions

+ Support organizational compliance with internal, customer, and industry quality standards and requirements, while addressing gaps with functional owners as well as within the foundational QMS:

+ Become subject matter expert (SME) for Quality standards interpretation and application to Allison Transmission global business

+ Maintain Quality Manual and Central Quality procedures, modifying existing or creating new documents or processes as required for compliance and continuous improvement

+ Act as primary point of contact for negotiating terms and service of 3rd party ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certification body

+ Proactively monitor, review, and communicate updated standards and requirements, driving implementation of required changes into the Allison QMS

+ Aid with read-across and standardization of QMS practices throughout the regions

+ Work with other functions, such as Marketing Sales and Service (MSS), Plant Quality and Product Engineering, to uphold customer satisfaction through:

+ Generate Part Submission Warrants (PSW) with supporting documentation for Customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requests

+ OEM customer complaint resolution (i.e. 8D submissions in OEM portal)

+ Maintain and report on OEM PPM metrics

+ Assess new business units, such as through merger or acquisition, to determine what actions should be taken relative to integration with the current Allison QMS, or achieving new certifications

+ Attend and support customer or other 3rd party audits, compliance activities, training, and/or other special requests as deemed necessary

+ Work with Q&R leadership to drive enhanced quality data analytics:

+ Compile quality data and produce reports for a variety of internal reports, streamlining data collection and platforms where possible.

+ Work with internal stakeholders to build Power Apps for advanced analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

+ Collect and analyze quality and regulatory data to provide trend analysis, benchmarks, or other analytical purposes.

+ Create specialized reports for leadership for use in decision making and strategic planning

Qualifications and Experience:

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant coursework in Engineering, Business, or related

+ IATF 16949 Lead Auditor certification preferred

+ Automotive core tools training preferred

+ 3-5+ years of Quality Systems experience in transportation related industry

+ 7+ years of Quality Systems experience in transportation related industry preferred

+ 3+ years of experience performing or managing quality audits preferred
