**Local Fleet Manager**
**Department:** Transport Dept **Location:** Woodridge, IL
**Job Purpose:** Control the dispatch of Owner Operators and Company Drivers in a controlled situation to obtain maximum equipment utilization.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Review, and revise when necessary, all load assignments from CSR, CSS.
* Assign drivers and equipment to orders.
* Maintain communication with planner in changes of pick-up and delivery schedules and potential service failures.
* Dispatch drivers on loads.
* Secure / Plan drivers next move or Backhaul.
* Maintain check calls.
* Monitor driver status.
* Monitor driver availability in conformance with FMSCA regulations.
* Monitor performance.
* Report service failures.
* Monitor truck location and availability.
* Monitor trailer location and availability.
* Update and monitor all settlements cash advance records, and fuel transactions on the computer which should include lumpers, driver assist, detention, and layover.
* Documentation.
* Report all driver / owner operator discipline incidents to OPNS manager.
* Other tasks as assigned by manager.

**Qualifications:**
* Past fleet manager experience.
* Past dispatching experience.
**Education and/or Experience Required:**
* High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
