The Sr. Manager, Sourcing will report to the Director, Sourcing and be based in Atlanta, GA.
Job Description:
Lead a team responsible for Sourced Finished Goods, including management of category & new product procurement supporting multiple brands within Newell Brands Outdoor and Recreation segment.The role would be focused on development/execution of global procurement strategy, productivity delivery, supplier innovation development, and participation in cross-functional new product development teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for sourcing strategy development and implementation across multiple sub-categories with annual global spend responsibility ranging from $100M - $150M.
Manage sub-category team members driving engagement and an attitude of continuous improvement & growth. Partner with regional procurement team members to enable efficient project execution and communication.
Manage and drive continuous improvement metrics such as cost productivity, working capital, geographic supply diversification, and single source reliance.
Key contributor to drive supplier innovation ideas and efficient partnership with cross-functional team members to support a new product development product pipeline.
Support procurement partners to drive supply base compliance & improvements in social responsibility, sustainability, on-time delivery, and lead time responsiveness.
Represent procurement as a key stakeholder to cross-functional peers from groups inclusive of R&D, quality, brand marketing, supply chain, and finance.
Job Requirements:
8+ years of sourcing experience or demonstrated performance managing comparable scope of responsibility.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a business, engineering or related field.
Demonstrated track record of leading teams and delivering results against performance metrics.
Strong project management skills and experience.
Global sourcing experience in consumer products preferred.
Ability to lead/influence cross functional teams.
Must have good communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Must be highly motivated and able to drive results independently and as part of a team.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
