Data Operations Engineer/Analyst

Barnes & Thornburg seeks a full time Data Operations Engineer/Analyst for its Product Liability and Mass Torts practice.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with partners to understand data requirements and deliver precise and timely information
Manage and maintain database and user platforms specific to mass tort litigation and settlements
Assist internal teams with general data operations, including imports, transfers, and exports
Assist in standardizing data operation processes and documenting processes for internal teams, and drive back-end system improvements
Compile, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure consistent and reliable data and information integrity
Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
Generate comprehensive reports and build visualizations/dashboards providing insights relevant to mass tort resolutions
Assist partners in development of data models to support settlement negotiations and legal resolution strategies
Ensure compliance with legal data management standards and practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Data Science/Analysis, Computer Science, Business Analytics, etc.)
Expert Excel skills required
Strong technical skills in data management, and experience working with SQL data sources
Experience in data modeling, analysis, and projection.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, clean, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven legal environment
Exposure to Python, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc., is a plus
Experience with medical, legal, or insurance data and/or industries is desirable but not required
