ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a compliance professional to join us as the Manager of Compliance Testing. You will own the development and implementation of a best-in class compliance testing and monitoring program that leverages data analytics. You will also oversee our compliance issue management program and advise on audit management. This role will report to the Director of Consumer Compliance.
The right person is (1) expert in compliance management system theory and practice and has substantial experience in the design and execution of compliance testing and monitoring programs that minimize manual processes; (2) experienced in compliance issue management at a financial institution; and (3) experienced in managing third-party audits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute an automated, risk-based Second Line compliance testing program that covers consumer financial products; guide the First Line in building embedded monitoring
Manage the execution of our compliance issue management procedures, including winning buy-in from First Line issue owners and tracking issues to resolution
Advise on compliance audit response mechanics and strategy
Establish and maintain credibility as an expert in compliance risk mitigation, in order to effectively influence the First Line and transform Current's culture
ABOUT YOU 5+ years of experience in compliance management and testing at a financial institution
Ideally, experience at both traditional financial institutions and fintechs
Significant experience with consumer compliance requirements including UDAAP, Reg Z, Reg E, Reg B, Reg DD
Strong written and verbal communication skills, highly effective at influencing colleagues and peers
Comfortable as a manager and as an individual contributor
Passionate about consumer financial inclusion and fintech
Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, fluid environments
Strong attention to detail
Compliance certifications (e.g., CRCM) preferred
Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements preferred
This role has a base salary range of $130,000 - $175,000. Compensation is determined based on experience, skill level, and qualifications, which are assessed during the interview process.
