RN Labor & Delivery Lourdes Hospital 169 Riverside Drive Binghamton, NY 13906 Brianna Pompey, Nurse Manager Night Shift 7p-7a with every other weekend rotation

Shift Timings : 19:00 - 07:30
Roles & Responsibilities
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications Hospital unit : Women's and Children's Unit description: LDRP
Nurse to patient ratio : utilize AWHONN guidelines
Patient population: 35 weeks and above, post partum moms, newborns
# beds per unit : 16 + 2 bed OBED
Other staff/resources on the unit: Surgical Tech
Certifications required per unit : BLS/NRP
QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of RN Labor & Delivery experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
Active unencumbered RN New York state license
Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
