Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join Stanley's technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for front-end and back-end development of our global eCommerce sites which are built on the Shopify platform. Our eCommerce business is scaling quickly and you will have a crucial role in delivering a high-performance, secure shopping experience that delivers on Stanley's brand promise to our end consumers.

What You'll Do

Design and implement robust, scalable back-end solutions to support e-commerce functionalities using Shopify APIs and third-party integrations.

Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions.

Conduct detailed code reviews to ensure best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance are maintained. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on the team.

Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and other technical challenges on Shopify sites.

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process.

Stay up to date with the latest Shopify features, apps, and integration capabilities, and bring them to the team when relevant.

Who You Are

A successful engineer with a track record of end-to-end software development with prior Shopify/ eCommerce experience.

Knowledgeable about e-commerce principles, including product management, checkout processes, and payment gateways.

Well versed in Shopify's architecture, including metafields, metaobjects, multi-store, and multi-market setups.

Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify Liquid, and modern front-end frameworks such as React or Next.js.

Experienced in back-end technologies and frameworks such as Node.js or Ruby on Rails, with a strong understanding of RESTful APIs.

Skilled in CI/CD system integrations, deployment pipelines, and performance optimization techniques.

Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Passionate about staying updated with industry trends and best practices.

Comfortable working in a remote environment and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in full-stack web development, with a significant focus on Shopify preferred.

Strong track record of delivering complex eCommerce projects.

Experience with headless Shopify setups and custom app development is a plus.

Familiarity with modern development tools and practices, such as Git and Agile methodologies.

Previous experience in leading or mentoring a development team is a bonus.

Salary Range

$150,000 - $170,000 annually.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. Stanley is a total rewards company, which includes rewards beyond base salary. At Stanley, full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual results.
