About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director of Social Media to develop and execute an original social media strategy that not only meets the company's objectives but also adds value to the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an editorial calendar that fosters audience growth and sustained engagement across various social media platforms. This role involves building a community management framework to gather customer insights for business and product planning, as well as partnering with the Brand & Creative team to produce social-first content that embodies the brand and resonates with the audience. The Director will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring social-first activations to life and will be the internal champion for social innovation, educating the team on emerging trends and best practices.Applicants for the Director of Social Media position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree being a plus. A minimum of 7-9 years of experience in social media management, community engagement, or a similar role within a high-volume environment is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and best practices, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A creative thinker with a strategic mindset, the Director will be expected to lead a team and foster a collaborative, impactful team culture. An analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data for making data-driven decisions, as well as a passion for building relationships and community both online and offline, are essential for this role.
