Role: Technology Lead - JAVA / J2EE

Duration: Full TIme / Permanent

Location: Long Beach,CA

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 7 years of experience in information Technology.

Responsibilities Define the architecture roadmaps, blueprints, technology strategy and establish best practices in accordance with reference architectures, standards and industry best practices.

Create end-end solution architecture, architecture views and models using standard techniques and tools. Ensure adherence and compliance through a set of principles, standard rules and guidelines.

Design and implement sound technical application architecture and recommend design changes to ensure successful implementation.

Document and develop in-depth knowledge of existing IT architecture/application, translate complex business requirements into conceptual models and technical design, gather and analyze non-functional requirements.

Perform assessment of the proposed solution architecture and drive build-versus-buy decisions based on differentiation, total cost of ownership, and strategic objectives.

Provide architectural and technical leadership, work collaboratively with other architects, network and infrastructure team , project teams, to determine appropriate and sustainable technology architecture, system architecture and capacity planning.

Advice and Consult with technical teams through entire software development lifecycle, mentor and develop the team.

Communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audience.

Understand new technologies and come up with technology insertion plan.

Minimum Qualifications At least 7+ years of experience in analysis, design and architecture of large IT systems.

7+ years of professional development experience, with Java/J2EE in implementing modern technical solutions for high-performance in production applications.

7+ years of experience in creating end-end solutions for client-server, web application and distributed computing type applications.

7+ years of experience working with Oracle, enterprise database design and data modeling

Experience in analysis, designing and planning experience in applications, systems or IT architecture.

Experience with scripting/markup languages, such as Perl, JavaScript, XML, SGML and HTML

Experience with Red hat Linux and Windows operating systems

Experience with service oriented systems and legacy batch application systems, sound knowledge of integration architecture, web services, workflows and design patterns.

Experience with high availability and disaster recovery options.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience working with DevOps & Continuous Integration tools.

Experience working in agile methodology.

Experience working with Responsive Web design (HTML5, Angular JS and Bootstrap) would be a plus.

Additional Qualifications Experience with SGML or XML authoring tools and PDF publishing tools; knowledge of structured authoring (typical SGML, XML DTDs/schema, elements and attributes etc.) environment.

General understanding of S1000D, common source database, ATA Spec and technical publications development processes.

Experience with the Big data technology using Hadoop, HBase, MapReduce and other Hadoop eco-system and or other NoSQL databases.

Experience working with Apache Solr search technology would be a plus.

Experience with enterprise content management systems would be a plus.

Experience with cloud technology would be a plus
