Our work depends on a Senior Palo Alto Firewall SME joining our team to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program in Falls Church, VA.

This is an IT Service Management contract in support of GENM-O’s mission is to enable information dominance from the tactical edge to the home station for the Army, DoD, National Command Authority, and international partners by acquiring, implementing, and sustaining strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems, and by leveraging technologies to meet current and future requirements. AGUN is to design, procure, maintain, deploy, and transition a Global SDN solution in accordance with applicable Army policies and regulations. The AGUN-INC1 TO will provide a unified approach to ensure standardized deployments and configurations at multiple locations throughout the globe.

To be successful in this position you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with the client and senior staff. Therefore, you should be articulate in your communications because your opinion matters. You will need to explain technical intricacies in a way that is easily understood.

Senior Palo Alto Firewall SME: Provides subject matter expertise for the Palo Alto Firewall solution. Has comprehensive knowledge of the entire Palo Alto Network products suite, such as firewalls, Panorama, GlobalProtect, Threat Prevention, and URL Filtering. Understands how to use the API or scripts to change Panaroma configurations of devices in addition to the Graphical User Interface.

Proficient in configuring and optimizing Palo Alto firewall policies, security profiles, NAT rules, VPN configurations and high availability setups. Has advanced troubleshooting skills using Palo Alto's diagnostic tools, logs, and packet captures to identify and resolve complex network and security issues.

Certifications:

Possesses an expert level Security certification.

Appropriately certified for their designated role in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, DFARS 252.239-7001, AR 25-2, or any successor policies or regulations; Possesses a DoD 8570.01 approved baseline certification or higher.

The likely salary range for this position is $154,960 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
