Warehouse Laborer at Aerotek in POST FALLS, Idaho, United States Job Description Aerotek is seeking reliable people with warehouse experience to work in a large industrial hardware distribution center in Post Falls, Idaho Description: Working in a large industrial hardware distribution center. General warehouse duties with several different departments and shifts: inventory control, shipping, receiving, order filling, and stocking. Use of RF scan gun, headsets, forklift, and other equipment. SHIPPING: 6AM, 8AM, 12PM, 2PM start times - This is the most physical department so it pays a differential. Building pallets and then loading trucks: -Sort, scan, checks merchandise and insures the product is loaded onto the proper pallet/truck for delivery to the customers. -Taking totes off the conveyor, scanning, and building pallets, stacking items safely and then wrapping the pallet and loading onto the truck with a pallet jack. -Will also load larger items such as ladders and pipes. Will operate handheld scanner and will be certified in electric power jack and forklift. -Frequently (33-67% of the time) lifting and carrying 0-70lbs, occasionally (up to 33% of the time) over 70lbs. -Involves a TON of twisting, bending, squatting, and reaching, very hard on the back. RECEIVING: 3AM, 4:50AM, 12PM start times - Unloading incoming trucks and rebuilding pallets: -Scan and receive inbound merchandise, unloading containers by forklift, pallet jack, or by hand. -Unload trucks and breaking down the pallets, sort the items by department, re-palletize it, wrap, and prepare it to be transported to the right area in the DC. -Will verify pallet count and the receiving label as well as operate handheld scanner. -Deliver scanned merchandise to appropriate staging areas throughout the warehouse. -Constantly (over 67% of the time) lifting and carrying 20-50lbs, occasionally over 50lbs. -Constant bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching, very hard on the back STOCKING: 3AM, 4:50AM, 12PM start times - Stocking merchandise from receiving onto the shelves -Moving merchandise to different points throughout the DC. Placing product on the appropriate shelves, stock inbound merch in designated locations -In Full case heavier items get stocked with power equipment (reach truck) while smaller items in the 'Mod' will be unpacked and then placed onto the shelves -Must be able to transfer merchandise by using a stand up reach truck, sit down forklift, stock picker and/or pallet jack. Will operate handheld scanner. -Frequently lifting and carrying 20-50lbs, occasionally over 50lbs. Frequent bending and reaching. Occasional twisting, crawling, climbing, and kneeling REPACK ORDER FILLERS: 5AM, 12PM start times - Picking smaller items, filling totes. Wearing a headset, fast paced but less heavy lifting. -Picking merchandise located in the Mod (smaller items) and labeling each carton for identification and scanning. -Will be using a headset that will tell them where to go and the quantity to grab. -They are timed (24 seconds to pick each item) so it is very fast paced, may involve running or jogging. -They'll fill boxes/totes with product and once full they'll place the tote onto the conveyor belt to be taken to shipping. -Picks merchandise by waves in a timely manner while labeling product according to item, customer & quantity ordered. -Won't be using power equipment in this area but prior experience is still a plus. -Frequently lift 0-50lbs+, occasionally carry 20-50lbs. Frequent bending, twisting, climbing. FULL CASE ORDER FILLERS: 5AM, 12PM start times - Picking heavier merch and larger items for orders. Using power equipment -Responsible for picking heavier merchandise and larger items, will be labeling each carton in a manner which eases identification of product. -Driving a stock picker, reach truck, or forklift with a trailer attached and manually pull cases off the shelf and then place onto the trailer bed. -Once the trailer is full they'll take it to a conveyor and then unload the items. Also label product, identify units of measure, account for damaged merch. -Constantly lifting and carrying 50-60lbs+. Constant bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching, occasional climbing, very hard on the back. INVENTORY CONTROL: 4:45AM start time - Auditing inventory, filling out reports, more data entry focused -Responsible for auditing daily inventory reports (transits, lost sales, back stock, deleted locations, receipt exceptions, out of stock). -Performs all physical audits, including order and truck audits. Investigates all specific incidents of inventory related inaccuracies and resolve problems -Prepare shipments for return to vendors, will communicate with vendors and buyers and provide customer service to resolve problems with merchandise. -Prepare defective merch for disposition and prepare manifest for salvage and schedule pick ups. -Excellent data entry and computer skills required, experience with Microsoft office and excel spreadsheets. Need good math and reading skills and the ability to interact with other departments and management -Constantly lifting/carrying under 20lbs, occasionally lifting/carrying 20-50lbs. Frequent bending and squatting, occasional twisting, kneeling, crawling, and climbing. Skills: General labor, Shipping and Receiving, Order picking and pulling, Material handler, Stocking Additional Skills & Qualifications: -PHYSICALITY: Occasionally=up to 33% of the time, Frequently=33-67% of the time, Constantly=over 67% of the time. -70lb lifting requirement, will be required to pass an OccMed Physical at time of conversion -Lot of twisting, bending, squatting, and stooping all day long. Some crawling and climbing as well.
