Key Business Objectives:
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced inventory coordinator to work within Operations.This position will link inventory knowledge, operational efficiencies, unraveling the intricacies of inventory principles, process improvement strategies, innovation, automation, and software systems. Always focusing on the commercial viability of products and offerings, this position will be the go-to person for all inventory-related queries.
The role will own the inventory reporting process and be responsible for all inventory-related duties, working alongside stakeholders in production, logistics, and warehousing to track and implement cost improvement initiatives and business efficiencies. Based in Houston, TX.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Knowledge: Must be able to perform many types of inventory transactions, including moving inventory into or out of warehousing. Each day will bring a different challenge.
Ability to communicate with operations in the field, office, or warehouse: Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a wide audience. Must be able to get information from various audiences.
Attention to detail: Must be a detail-oriented person. When assembling the paperwork for inventory transactions, ensure that proper paperwork is attached for internal and external auditors and the accounting department.
Compliance and Audit Support: Uphold compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies. Facilitate internal and external audits, providing precise financial data, documentation, and transparent explanations of cost-related processes.
Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within manufacturing operations to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and automate manual tasks within reporting and accounting. Leverage technology solutions and industry best practices to drive process optimization, improve accuracy, and reduce cycle times.
Internal Controls: Monitor the operational controls to safeguard assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and mitigate risks. Continuously evaluate control effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to strengthen our control environment.
Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills/Capabilities and Education: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or operations from an accredited university, or 5+ years of inventory control experience in a related position.
Minimum 2 years of work experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably direct experience in compression services or similar energy/industrial business with distributed supply chains and field workforce.
Relevant certifications, such as the Certified Inventory Management Professional, are highly valued.
Proven experience in inventory/warehouse work within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of inventory transactions and best practices.
Proficiency in inventory systems and tools, enabling seamless navigation of the digital landscape. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma, complemented by hands-on experience in implementing process enhancements are highly regarded.
Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
Applicant must have the ability to legally work in the U.S.
Working Conditions: Working conditions are in a normal office setting most of the time.
Travel will be required up to 25% of the time.
Periodic lifting requirements of at least 50 lbs.
Exposure to extremes in temperature and weather conditions depending on travel location.
Some exposure to high noise levels in excess of 85dBA that require ear protection, as well as exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals and materials.
Working conditions in natural gas compression vary from one job site to another. Some job sites are indoors in compressor stations while other sites are outside, exposed to a variety of weather conditions.
Ability to stand and walk on uneven and varied terrain, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, and crawl depending on the task requirements.
