Job description
We are looking for a Bay Area recruiter to recruit attorneys, legal assistants, other professionals, and staff throughout the firm. The ideal candidate is highly personable and has experience screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates, as well as developing job descriptions that will attract the right applicants. You should also be able to utilize creative approaches to source new candidates.
Ultimately, the responsibilities of the Recruiter are to ensure our firm attracts, hires, and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy
Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
Prepare job postings to appropriate job boards such as Indeed, Zip Recruiter, LinkedIn Recruiter, and internal job boards.
Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, and other resources
Screen candidates resumes and job applications
Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
Create and foster relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diversity candidates
Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
Promote company’s reputation as a “great place to work”
Skills:
Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter); experience recruiting in the legal field is highly desirable, but not required.
Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (i.e., structured, competency-based, behavioral)
Hands-on experience with various selection processes (i.e., phone or video interviewing, reference checks, skills assessment)
Utilize creative approaches to source new candidates.
Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong decision-making skills
Location: Remote work from California; Travel is required to court and work-related locations
