Microsoft is seeking a Land Development Policy Program Manager with extensive policy experience in land use, real estate development, and economic development to enhance our global land development strategy for our data center portfolio. This role is essential for integrating in-depth policy analysis with our real estate insights, refining strategic planning, and enhancing decision-making across diverse international markets. The successful candidate will be adept in navigating and influencing policy environments related to real estate and land development, focusing on identifying opportunities for expedited entitlements and strategic advantages.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or a related field AND 5+ years relavant experience* OR 7+ years Equivalent Experience

* Potential experience focus on land development and economic development* Experience in policy analysis related to land use, economic development, and real estate development.

Other Requirements:

* Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficiency in interpreting complex qualitative data sets and delivering insights that inform policy and strategic decisions.* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex policy issues in a clear and persuasive manner.* Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly in a policy-driven environment.* A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of global market dynamics, regulatory environments, and the capacity to identify and leverage expedited permitting opportunities.

Real Estate Portfolio Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
