**Mays** is seeking a **Customer Service Representative** in **Indianapolis, IN** . The selected candidate will report directly to the Customer Service Manager. The candidate will be responsible for managing and processing customer orders, locating product, entering purchase orders, performing administrative duties, verifying product specification including pricing, packaging, and delivery. This candidate will also research products, troubleshoot, track shipments, and make necessary changes. Candidate will work closely with sales, purchasing, warehouse operations, and finance and accounting departments, possessing knowledge of customer service, administrative applications, and sales. **Mays Chemical Company, Inc.** is a fully integrated chemical distributor, recognized as an optimal source for chemicals, related raw materials, formulated products, and outsourcing services.
The selected candidate will also provide product and service information, resolve customer complaints, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
**Other Responsibilities:**
* Write and input orders with proper codes and correct prices.
* Resolve product or service problems.
* Collect and analyze customer information in service reports for management.
* Confer with suppliers, shipping department, or carrier personnel.
* Provide or forward customer requests for documents including certificates of analysis, safety data sheets, invoice copies, packing slips, proof of receipt/delivery etc.
* Coordinate new account set-up.
* Maintain files of active orders and posts activities such as change notice, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes.
**Education/Experience** High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in business-related preferred. Three (3) plus years of experience in customer service with an emphasis on account management required. Experience using MS office applications, excellent oral and written skills required. Able to multi-task, work under pressure and able to problem-solve.
