Position Overview:
The Tax Analyst role is within the Corporate Accounting Department which is a dynamic team responsible for all financial transactions, tax accounting, and financial reporting for the firm, including the consolidation of three foreign subsidiaries and all reporting provided to our parent company. The Tax Analyst will be responsible for tax accounting pursuant to ASC 740 and IFRS for all Acadian companies. They will prepare and review federal, state, local, and foreign tax compliance and analyze general ledger accounts to prepare quarterly tax account roll forwards, reconciling all foreign tax account activity and providing support with the year-end provision.
Acadian supports a hybrid work environment, employees are on-site in the Boston office 3 days a week.
What You'll Do:
Reconcile tax accounts including payroll tax account balances.
Research and document tax issues, as required.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Review financial statements, investment documents, and partnership agreements to identify tax implications and ensure proper tax reporting.
Handle partnership administration, including distributable allocations, updating certificate ledgers, and issuing call/put award letters.
Gather the information required for international compliance and transfer pricing.
Prepare financial statement disclosures and tax footnotes.
Collect financial information and prepare tax filings for various reporting requirements (Sales and Use, FATCA, Form 1099-NEC, Personal Property, and FBAR filings).
Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work and liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, investment, and operations, to support overall business objectives.
Assist with reporting financial and operational data to the parent company.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and workpapers to support tax positions and compliance efforts.
Develop and maintain tax compliance policies and procedures.
We're Looking for Teammates With:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field; MST or CPA certification preferred
A minimum of two years of pass-through, partnership or corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm
Knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations relevant to investment management and financial services
Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting programs like Great Plains helpful
Excellent advisory and compliance skills; Research orientated with problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
