Linux Systems Administrator

System AdministratorRed Arch Solutions is hiring a System Administrator on a priority program in Annapolis Junction, MD. The System Administrator shall be responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components. In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Position Required Skills:Experience using the Linux CLIExperience developing scripts using Bash/PythonExperience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environmentGeneral technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system componentsExperience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solutionFamiliarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big dataExperience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolutionExperience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environmentsExperience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and AnsibleExperience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and proceduresExperience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and NagiosExperience with containerization technologies such as DockerPosition Desired Skills:Experience with container orchestration technologies such as KubernetesExperience with distributed file systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFSExperience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and ConfluenceBasic Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with polygraphSecurity+Fifteen (15) years' experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Salary range for this position: $185,000-$200,000 #CJThe Red Arch Solutions pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
