We are hiring for a Field Service Tech in the state of New Jersey / New York.
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides product installation, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance (repairs) services, upgrade, or install IT/Medical/Industrial Equipment. This work will be performed in hospitals, manufacturing, and customer or other equipment locations.
REQUIRED/KNOWLEDGE SKILLS :
Ability to self-manage and travel to installation or upgrading sites for an extended period.
Travel 70%-80% of the time on field assignments.
Drive long distances.
Must have and maintain a valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record.
Fly on an airplane for several hours.
Troubleshoot to FRU level.
Experience servicing electro-mechanical products.
Experience inspecting, servicing, repairing, upgrading, or installing equipment.
Familiar with the use of standard service tools, including -operating testing and measuring equipment. Vacuum/pressure meter, frequency counter, and digital multimeter.
Willing to bend, twist, crawling, climbing, stand for an extended period, go under machinery to inspect or service.
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move in excess of 50 pounds, using lifting aids, technologies, or appropriate assistance.
Education: Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Bio-medical field or similar technical degree; or a proven equivalent work experience as a Field Service Engineer or related military electronics training.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience inspecting, servicing, repairing, upgrading, or installing devices.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm. Possible overtime when needed and possible weekend travel.
