WSP is currently initiating a search for a Freight and Logistics Senior Consultant . This position could be located in any one of our US offices. Be involved in freight and logistics projects with our Economics, Finance, & Grants business line and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

About the Position:

We are looking for a highly motivated analyst consultant with experience in logistics, multimodal freight, and urban planning. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in economic and statistical analysis of freight infrastructure, strategies, and policies. Ideal candidates will also have a background in data science and programming, and be eager to innovate and advance the state-of-practice.

The Freight and Logistics Associate Consultant position offers great opportunities for professional growth. You will work directly with industry thought leaders to identify and apply evolving requirements and innovative practices to large, highly visible projects across the United States.

Your Impact

Independently lead complex qualitative and quantitative analysis and research

Direct primary and secondary research, as well as technical analysis

Collaborate with teams across services areas and business lines in Advisory Services

Contribute to marketing and business develop activities

Present approaches and findings in conferences and publish where appropriate

The successful candidate will have the following skills, interests, and experiences:

Experience with multimodal freight systems, freight operations, urban freight strategies, sustainability, freight technologies, and supply chains.

Data science and modeling experience with large freight data sets, including GPS, system travel times, commodity flows, international trade, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

Program/project delivery implementation experience is highly desirable

Contributes to thought leadership and research

Recognize for technical excellence in high quality level performance

Experience with analytical packages and/or programming languages (R, Python, Matlab, VBA, etc.)

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Excellent communicator with abilities to deliver complex ideas and results in intuitive and effective manner to non-technical audience

Advanced degree in engineering, economics, data science, statistics, applied mathematics, business, public policy, or urban planning desirable

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

5-7 years of experience

Master’s Degree in engineering, economics, data science, statistics, applied mathematics, business, public policy, or urban planning

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree is preferred.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $99,000 - $142,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
